Mary J Penn earned degrees in technical communication, forestry, and processing at Michigan Technological University in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Since 2002 she has worked as a writer, editor, and planner on all of SWWRPC’s comprehensive planning projects. The best part of her job is getting to know the planning commissions and boards, discovering the community character, and helping to create a truly representative plan that will guide decisions for the future.
