Mary J Penn earned her degrees in technical communication, forestry, and processing at Michigan Technological University. Since 2002 she has worked as a writer and planner on all of SWWRPC’s comprehensive planning projects. She has now begun to gain training in GIS to better integrate planning and client needs. The best part of her job is getting to know the people on the individual jurisdiction planning commissions and boards and helping them write a comprehensive plan to guide them to their best future.
