Todd Johnson was born in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and was raised in the small rural community of Spring Valley, Minnesota-located in the Root River Valley. After high school, he studied architecture, art, music, and theatre at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. In 1997, he graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture and a B.S. in Environmental Design with a Minor in Art. From 1997-2001, Todd worked in the architectural field in design/build firms in Fargo, North Dakota and Duluth, Minnesota. In the spring of 2007, he earned a Masters of Urban & Regional Planning at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon with an emphasis in land use and regional planning. While attending school, he worked for the City of Portland’s Bureau of Planning-Urban Design Group and with Portland State University's Architecture Department. Since July of 2009, Todd has been working for SWWRPC. Currently, he is working with communities throughout the region with land use issues and comprehensive plans. In addition, he has developed the framework for what will eventually become the SWWRPC Regional Comprehensive Plan. Outside of planning, Todd is actively involved with his family, friends, church, and community theatre in his new hometown of Lancaster, Wisconsin. |
