The Economic Development (ED) program of SWWRPC works with stakeholders throughout the region for a regional approach to economic development. Projects and services include:

Business Resources Project

With U.S. Economic Development Administration funding assistance, this project is part of an economic development strategy to help entrepreneurs start businesses and to help existing businesses grow.

Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS)

The CEDS document is a useful document that describes the region's economic situation, notable developments in the past year, and regional goals and objectives to improve the economy.

Economic Development Administration (EDA) District

As a designated EDA Economic Development District, the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission serves as the liaison for communities in the region to the U.S. EDA.

State Data Center

We provide census and other data to businesses, individuals, governing bodies and non-profit organizations.
