Transportation Program - Pecatonica Rail Transit Commission
  • Member Counties: Green, Iowa, Lafayette, and Rock
  • Year Created: 1978
  • Operator: Wisconsin & Southern Railroad
  • Corridor Length: 34.58 miles active track, 47 miles in recreation trail. Click here to see a map of the PRTC Corridor.
  • Recreation Trail: A portion of the corridor is maintained by the PRTC and WisDOT under the provisions of the federal Rails-to-Trails conservancy program. The Tri-County Trail Commission leases that segment and operates it as the Cheese Country Trail.
  • Meeting Schedule - PRTC meets quarterly. Meetings are usually held on Fridays, at the Green County Court House (1016 16th Ave. Monroe, WI), at 1pm. See below for specific dates and locations (locations are noted in meeting agendas), or contact us for more details.
