About our Safe Routes to School:

Our SRTS program began in September, 2008, when Platteville was awarded state funding to create a SRTS plan for the City.  Platteville community members and the Community Safe Routes Committee have since been working together to plan safer routes to Platteville K-8 schools, to encourage Platteville students to bike or walk to school more often, and to educate community members on safety issues relating to walking and biking.

The Community Safe Routes Committee meets the third Monday of each month at 6pm. Please join us, everyone is welcome to attend. Check our new website for the location and agenda.
