Hazard Mitigation Plans

The Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SWWRPC) values the safety and welfare of our region and the communities within. By identifying and analyzing the natural hazards that our counties face, they are able to help the public prepare for future hazards and become more resilient communities.

SWWRPC works closely with county emergency managers to develop these plans through collaboration with paramedics, police and fire departments, and local residents to develop strategies for reducing the impacts from natural disasters. These FEMA-approved plans are drafted with the intention to help counties provide protections to potentially vulnerable communities, boost public awareness, and ultimately further preserve the security of life and property.
