Southwest Transit Team (SWTT)
Looking for ways to give back to your community and make a positive difference in someone's life? Consider volunteer driving!
Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, along with our ADRC and SWCAP-LIFT partners, is offering a free dinner meeting with information on volunteer opportunities in our region.
Join us on Monday, November 11 at The Burg in Shullsburg, or Tuesday, November 19 at Blackhawk Technical College in Monroe. Both meetings start at 5:30PM. Contact Kristina at 608-348-5055 or email@example.com for more information or to RSVP.
Volunteer drivers help fill the gap in our rural transportation services. The program provides door-to-door, appointment based service. Priority is given for trips to medical appointments for seniors and adults with disabilities.
Drivers must be over 18 years old. Other requirements include a valid driver's license, background check, a good driving record, and proof of insurance. This is a flexible volunteer opportunity, you tell us when you are available. Drivers are reimbursed for their mileage.
SWTT is a collaboration of transit providers in Southwestern Wisconsin. The group meets every other month to share ideas and insights into transit provision in the region.
